Just sayin I don't think its gonna work well. Imagine all the waterways and fish that could be added instead of spending time and precious resources on a boat people are likely to complain about anyway.boat is too st too much.maintenance is too high.fuel cost too much.people keep parking where Im casting.ect, ect, ect. Alright enough blabber from me.Originally posted by shadrays:Do we really need boats? If so why? Just to compete with a few other fishing games? The bigger question is do we really want boats or do we just think we do because other games have them? I forsee a ton of issues once boats enter the game, it'll be a whine fest. I feel like I could offer some valuable notes and advice. Have you timed the reeling speed in game with real life reeling speeds to match and be accurate? Or was this a decision based on the fish AI and being a more enjoyable game? I also noticed that reeling at a slower/medium pace seems off. Even when realing quickly it seems like it takes a long time to reel something in. I love a calm pristine lake in the morning with the fog still on but adding some graphical flare with some subtle waves would be fab.Īnother thing I noticed is the reel speed/time to reel in ratio seems unrealistic. I've wondered if there will be waves in the game. This will be a great game.think with your hearts and let the creativity flow Not even a week ago I was thinking "there hasn't been a great fishing game in years" and I was trying to find a copy of 'trophy bass 4' (used to love that game).then someone told me about Fishing Planet and I got butterflies and excitement. Yes you'll make a buck but think about the gamer too.īeing an in real life fishing enthuthiast I am very excited for this game. So many games that could have been great can be destroyed by greedy in game microtransactions. I know we all need to make money but I beg you not to turn greedy. Major factors that will influence the success of this game is not being judged by the microtransactions and its freedom in game. I know you can eventually get the extras by playing normally but.please don't turn it into a tedius grind. I'm not a business man by any means but being a passionate gamer.I can not stress it enough.make the game fair.make it enjoyable without having to buy things.

Play your cards right and it'll be very succesful. I knew about the boats but now that you said there will be free roaming and a decent sized lake I'm even more stoaked.
